Prism — the concentrated-liquidity DEX

A prism splits light into its bands. Prism splits your liquidity the same way — focused into a price range you choose, where it earns the heaviest fees, instead of spread thin across a curve that mostly never trades.

Capital focused inside a chosen band earns amplified fees; outside it lies dormant.

Light, focused into a band

Old pools scatter liquidity across every price from zero to infinity. Most of it sits in dead zones that no trade ever touches. Prism lets you bind your capital to a narrow band around the price where trading actually happens — and inside that band the same depth earns amplified fees. Tighter band, sharper focus, more fee per dollar.

How it earns

You pick a lower and upper bound. While the market price sits inside your band, your liquidity is live and taking fees on every swap. Drift past the edge and your position goes idle — fully converted to one side of the pair, earning nothing until price returns or you re-aim. The reward for precision is concentration; the cost is that you must choose where the fire burns.

  • Tight band — maximum fee amplification, but easily left behind by price
  • Wide band — fewer fees, but stays active through more of the market
  • At the edge — your position is all one asset, dormant until price crosses back
  • Re-aim — move the band as the market moves to keep liquidity working

Your position is a key, not a balance

Every Prism position mints as an NFT — a sealed record of your band, your two assets, and the fees they have gathered. It is an object you hold, transfer, or pledge, not a number in a ledger. Human or machine, you wield the same key: an agent can mint, monitor, and re-aim a position through the contract with no human in the loop. Traders never see this — they swap at pool price and the depth answers.

Where it lives

Prism is the Prism tab in the Obsidian app. Open a position by choosing your pair, setting the band around current price, and depositing both assets — the NFT lands in your wallet. Swaps route through it automatically; the deeper the band at market price, the better the fill. Watch the edge: when price leaves your band, the fees stop, and the choice to re-aim is yours.
